TWO PRIZES AT LUMIX FESTIVAL I received two prizes at the Lumix Festival for young photojournalism in Hannover. My exhibited work One Day in History was awarded the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung (HAZ) «People’s Choice Prize», selected by votes of the audience. PROJECTION IN ARLES Everybody Knows This is Nowhere will be projected at this year’s Les Rencontres d’Arles photo festival. Four other Panos photographers will also show their work: Mads Nissen, Jan Banning, Brian Sokol and Ivor Prickett.
KARL OVER KNAUSGAARD FOR VG HELG I was assigned to photograph the Norwegian author Karl Ove Knausgård on his tour in the UK. The portraits were published in VG Helg Magazine.
ASSIGNMENT FOR STERN I was sent to Stavanger, to do a news feature story about the loss of a German immigrant family’s luck, in a small town on the Norwegian west coast. A husband killed his wife and mother of their two children.
